Animal Welfare is critically vital for the vibrant health of any community. In order for the residents of a community to effectively care for its animals, residents need within their grasp the appropriate education and resources.
The State of Michigan is now a “NO-KILL” state with regard to its shelter animals and their welfare. Because of this, it is now more than imperative that Detroit residents are                                                         enabled and empowered to meet the needs of any companion animal they choose to live with them.

Through Compassion, Education, Legislation and Motivation , Help Detroit Pets will empower the residents of the city of Detroit to competently and compassionately care for, provide for, nurture and raise animals in their safekeeping. The city streets, highways and bi-ways will remain animal free because of the compassion of the residents and business owners in the city of Detroit. Through education, advocacy, collaboration and facilitation, the city of Detroit will foster a cultural climate of energetic excitement, love, care and understanding for its animal population
